Wintringham Pipers had a very enjoyable BALDOCK Irish day on 4th May playing at different locations around Baldock.
We joined the Celtic Pipes & Drums for a 3 City Tattoo in Germany starting in Hamburg, Munster and finishing in Oldenberg.

This year we played for 6 Burns evenings, some old but also a few new venues.
Lamp of Peace
We accompanied the Lamp of Peace to a service held at St Martins in the Field London. The event coincided with Japan Matsuri held at Trafalgar Square. Japan Matsuri is the biggest annual festival of Japanese culture and food. After all was over, there was a special request from His Excellency Suzuki Hiroshi, Japanese Ambassador to the UK, to play “Highland Cathedral” for him.

Wintringham Pipers were approached to provide piping support to an Australian entertainer / Comedy Character called Barry Morgan.
Barry was off to perform at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe after rehearsing locally. Our role was to pipe him on his way from St Neots to Edinburgh which we were very happy to provide!
Rehau Beer Festival

We joined Northampton Pipes & Drums for a fun filled weekend in Rehau Bavaria - Lots of beer was involved!
May 8 2025 VE 80 London Fabulous day and great honour to pipe the Lantern of Peace onboard the Havengore (Churchills coffin boat) on the Thames for VE80 Day.

Sarah played for the village VE 80 Day Celebrations, including the tune specially composed, by PM Stuart Liddle, for the event called ''Celebratum''
EAPB joined other artists for the 2025 Baldock Folk Festival, photo is outside the Cock Public House on the High Street !

We were delighted to join the Somme Battlefield Pipe Band & the 48th Highlanders of Holland Pipe & Drums for a fabulous weekend. Saturday we joined a reenactment in Wilp and Sunday Holten Canadian War Cemetery to commemorate 80 years from liberation of Holland

Franleu (France) June 25 2023 with The Battle of The Somme Pipe Band
(it was 30 degrees C !)
The village of Franleu was the scene of a very violent and heroic battle in the second World War.
The commemoration honored the 51st Highland Division and the people of Franleu village who lost their lives
Franleu is a commune in the Somme Department and 17kms from Abbeville
Carolyn & Phil joined The Commander of 51st Infantry Brigade and HQ Scotland in Saint Valery-en-Caux to take part in commemorations marking the 82nd anniversary of the battle in northern France. We played in St Valery en Caux and Veules-Les-Roses

Ceremonies also took place at Veules-les-Roses and many other small towns in the area as local people spared no effort in showing their gratitude and remembrance.
